Margot Brighton

Margot Brighton is an electrically bold, self taught visual artist from southwest of Scarborough, Ontario. In their practice they wear their heart on their sleeve, to create evocative and expressive works based around their various intersectional identities, issues that their community faces, as well as their own tribulations. Currently studying to get their BFA at OCAD University, Brighton has been spending their time sharpening their drawing and painting abilities. They seek to evoke positive change within the art world by diversifying the topics in which artists choose to make art about, as well as being the representation they feel is needed in the industry
